What Does The CAS Measure

The Core Assessment Model focuses management’s attention on the perceived strengths and weaknesses of their organisation within six specific areas:

1.       The degree to which internal and external stakeholder are satisfied with current organisational outputs, including profitability, quality, service, efficiency, internal service, etc.

2.       The perceived impact of externally generated inputs, including such factors as customer expectations, financial constraints, market conditions, etc.

3.       The perceived impact of internally generated inputs, including attitudes towards change, trust in senior management, concern for quality, etc.

4.       The degree to which senior management is perceived as providing adequate direction for the organization, including establishing and maintaining a common vision, shared values, coordinated strategies, etc.

5.       The perceived functionality of formal structures and systems including information dissemination, technological support, resource allocation, etc.

6.       The perceived functionality of communication and relationships within and between groups, functions and levels, including teamwork, leadership, performance recognition, decision-making, etc.

In addition, the Core Assessment Survey can be easily modified to the demands of specific client organisations.
